Terms of Service

By using nexous.in you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. They apply whether or not you create an account.

Nexous is a free educational website. It explains core engineering subjects through written lessons, step-by-step animations and quizzes. It is a study aid — a second explanation for the ideas that are hard to picture — and it is not a course, a qualification, a tutoring service, or a substitute for your syllabus, your lectures or your textbooks.

No accreditation is claimed and no certificate is issued. Marking a topic as done records your own progress and means nothing beyond that.

An account is optional; almost everything works without one. If you create one:

• Give accurate information, and keep it current.
• Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Tell us at contact@nexous.in if you think someone else has access to it.
• Create one account for yourself, as a real person, and do not impersonate anybody.

You can delete your account at any time; see the privacy policy for what happens to your data when you do.

Read it, watch it, learn from it, and share links to it freely. You may use the lessons and animations for your own study and quote short extracts with attribution and a link.

You may not:

• Republish the lessons, animations or quizzes elsewhere, in whole or in substantial part, whether or not you charge for them.
• Sell, sublicense or bundle the material into a paid product or course.
• Scrape the site in bulk, or use automated means to extract its content at scale.
• Use the material to train a machine-learning model without written permission.
• Strip attribution, or present the material as your own work.

Ask at contact@nexous.in if you want to do something these terms do not allow. For classroom and non-commercial teaching use the answer is usually yes.

Do not attempt to break, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the site or the systems behind it; do not upload anything unlawful, abusive or misleading through the request form; and do not use the site in a way that interferes with anyone else's use of it. Access may be withdrawn from anyone who does.

The lessons, animations, quizzes, illustrations, the Nexousname and the site's design are owned by Akhil and protected by copyright, except where a third party is credited. The underlying scientific and engineering facts, of course, belong to nobody — it is the particular explanation and presentation of them that is protected.

If you believe something on the site infringes your copyright, write to contact@nexous.in identifying the material and it will be reviewed promptly.

When you submit a topic request or feedback, you keep ownership of what you wrote, and you give permission for it to be used to decide what gets built and to improve the site. Suggestions may be acted on without obligation, credit or payment. Do not send anything confidential.

The site is funded by advertising, which is selected and served by third parties rather than by us. Advertisements and any external sites they lead to are not endorsements, and we are not responsible for their content, products or practices. What those third parties do with cookies is covered in the privacy policy.

Considerable care goes into these lessons, but engineering is detailed and mistakes happen. The content may contain errors, simplifications made for teaching, or approaches that differ from the convention your own course uses. Check anything that matters against your prescribed material before relying on it in an examination or in practice.

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. It is free, it is built by one person, and it may be offline, incomplete or changed without notice.

Found an error? Report it at contact@nexous.in — corrections are welcome and get fixed.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Akhil is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of marks, results, opportunity, data or profit, arising from your use of or inability to use this site or from reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

The site changes constantly — topics are added, and occasionally rewritten or removed. These terms may also change; the date at the top of the page shows when they last did, and continuing to use the site means accepting the revised version. The site may be suspended or discontinued at any time, without notice and without liability.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
